18 Months ago Réka and I travelled to South America. With this current Covid-19 pandemic, and the lockdown here in Scotland, I’ve had time to go through the videos I shot while on that trip.
When I make videos of our holidays I’m not too interested in doing the typical talking to camera style of the millions of YouTubers out there. I don’t consider what I have to say about the places we go as important as just seeing them. I tend to just try and record a bit of the environment, the landscape, and our activities. There’s also a lot of Réka walking about.
Without any voiceover, I’m aware that they essentially become 5-10 minute long montages, so I try to make the music and the editing more engaging to make up for it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I think this is one that works. I hope you enjoy it too.
